Jerome Stephen Madura, 78, husband of Eva Fran Madura, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 at his residence in Clarksville, Virginia. He was born August 3, 1934 in Goshen, New York to the late John Joseph and Stella Brozycki Madura.
Jerry served his country in the United States Air Force. He then became a commercial airline pilot and retired as a captain for United Airlines. In his spare time, Jerry loved to golf.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Madura is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Mark Venezia of Peabody, Massachusetts; and sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Christina Madura of Peyton, Colorado, Matthew and Amy Madura of St. Louis, Missouri; his brother and sister-in-law, John and Marlene Madura of Dunn, North Carolina; and sisters and brother-in-law, Agatha and Don Szalkowski of Clarksville, Virginia, Prudence Simons of Sun City, Arizona, and Joyce Roberts-Roth of Bayonet Point, Florida; five grandsons, Antonio, Gianni, Evan, Avery, and Owen.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 8, 2013 from 7 to 9 P.M. at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery. A funeral Mass will be said Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 10 A.M., at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Clarksville, Virginia, with Father John Kazibwe officiating.
