Medina County Court Log for Feb. 5

The following people appeared in Medina County Common Pleas Court on Thursday, according to Medina County Prosecutor Dean Holman:

– Joseph Hylton, 66, Heavenly View Lane, Valley City, was sentenced to five years of community control sanctions, with 180 days in jail, on one count of importuning, a third-degree felony. He also was labeled a Tier I sex offender.
– Michael Powell, 38, West Liberty Street, Medina, was sentenced to three years in prison on three counts of trafficking in drugs, third-degree felonies; one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony; and two counts of trafficking in cocaine, fifth-degree felonies.
– Ivan Brown, 30, 12th Street, Elyria, pleaded not guilty to one count of trafficking in cocaine within the vicinity of a juvenile or school, a fourth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for March 26.
– Andrew Callen, 19, Berwin Street, Akron, pleaded not guilty to one count of trafficking in marijuana, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for March 26.
– Keyona Evans, 21, Everton Drive, Akron, pleaded not guilty to one count of complicity to commit trafficking in heroin, a fourth-degree felony. The charge carries a forfeiture specification. A jury trial is scheduled for March 27.
– Doris Graber, 51, Britton Street, West Salem, pleaded not guilty to one count of complicity to commit aggravated trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for March 19.
– Robert Graber, 55, Britton Street, West Salem, pleaded not guilty to two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, third-degree felonies. A jury trial is scheduled for March 25.
– Brenton Moyers, 27, Stoney Run Trail, Broadview Heights, pleaded not guilty to one count of misuse of credit cards, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for March 26.
– Michael Tanner, 30, Fulton Road, Canton, pleaded not guilty to one count of trafficking in heroin, a third-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for March 25.
– Jessy Tingle, 22, Westgate Avenue, Wadsworth, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for March 27.
The following people appeared in court Monday:
– Dawn Cassidy, 38, Temple Avenue, Lorain, was sentenced to six months in prison on one count of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony.
– Shawn Rice, 43, Wadsworth Road, Medina, was sentenced to five years of community control sanctions, with 180 days in jail, on one count of nonsupport of dependants, a fifth-degree felony.
– Jason Douglas, 25, Hudson-Aurora Road, Hudson, pleaded not guilty to two counts of robbery, one a second-degree felony and one a third-degree felony. The charges carry a repeat violent offender specification. A jury trial is scheduled for March 11.
– Amanda Geiger, 25, Tower Road, Seville, pleaded not guilty to one count of misuse of credit cards, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for May 8.
– Bretton Jones, 19, Tower Road, Medina, pleaded no contest to one count of theft of a check, a fifth-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for March 18.
– Caitlin Russell, 21, Stratford Avenue, Wadsworth, pleaded not guilty to one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, and one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for May 6.
