Highland High School student to sing at Indians game

Nathan King

Highland High School student Nathan King has been chosen to sing the national anthem at the Cleveland Indians game on July 14 at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

King, a sophomore, was approached by an Indians employee who saw him perform as Gaston in Highland’s fall musical production of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.” After submitting a recording and resume, he was selected to perform.

King is a member of Highland’s Added Attraction Jazz Ensemble, Highland Chorale, and the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus and its Chamber Ensemble. He has performed at Severance Hall, Baldwin Wallace and University Circle.
