Steve M. Piskach

Steve M. Piskach, 81, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013. He was born November 1, 1931 in Cleveland, to the late Thomas and Gloria (Longrich) Piskach.

Steve was retired fire fighter for the City of Cleveland and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Steve loved all sports he was a collegiate athlete he enjoyed playing baseball, softball and golf for many years. He also refereed high school football for 35 years. He loved spending time at Chippewa Lake with his family.

Steve was the beloved husband of Florence (Pittner), to whom he was married 56 years; loving father of Susan (Patrick) Gallagher of Parma, Steve of Cleveland, David (Wanda) of Pfluggerville, Texas, Paula (Steve) Midlik of Medina, Lynn (Tom) O’Donnell of Dover, and Debbie Rhoads of Mesa, Arizona; dear grandfather of 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; loving brother of Bob (Maureen) of Parma and James (Ellie) of Middleburg Heights.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas, Emil, Donald and Russell; and sister, Midge.

The family invites friends for visitation at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 North Court St. Medina, Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 2 to 4 P.M. A prayer service will begin at 3:30 P.M. Private burial services will be at a later date. Family requests no flowers.
