Donald R. Forgie, 84, of Medina, formerly of Murrysville, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013. He was born September 7, 1928, in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Joseph and Edith (Baker) Forgie.
Don was a retired Postal worker. He was the first city carrier for the Municipality of Murrysville and served as a Murrysville Traffic Policeman. He was a member of the Emmanuel Reformed United Church of Christ, Export, Pennsylvania, where he served on the Consistory.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers; and five sisters.
Surviving is his beloved wife, Virginia (Cline) Forgie; loving son, Gary D. Forgie and his wife, Cindy of Medina; two cherished grandchildren, Ashley Forgie of Asheboro, North Carolina and Geoffrey Forgie of Medina.
Friends are welcome Friday, February 22, 2013, from 1 until 3 and 6 until 8 P.M., at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export, Pennsylvania, (724) 327-1400, where services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013, at 11:30 A.M. Interment will follow in Emmanuel Church Cemetery, Export.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH 44256.
