Gerald (Jerry) W. Albright

Gerald (Jerry) W. Albright, passed away to his eternal cabin in Heaven on Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

Jerry was very proud of his service in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a life member of the VFW and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was the founder of Albright Security Center of Medina 50 years ago. He was an avid sportsman, and also founded Medina Sporting Goods which he later sold. He loved his huge family of eight children, 18 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. He was very proud of the cabin he built, and enjoyed many family gatherings there and also at the farm on the old dirt road.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Violet (nee Muntz); children, David (Julie) Albright of Florida, Dennis Albright of Marion, Darryl (Sandy) Albright of Medina, Deborah Gilbert of Medina, Michael (Shelia) Tecco of Medina, Tina (Terry) Rutherford of Medina, James (Marney) Tecco of Arizona, Laurie (Denny) Wilt, of Medina; grandchildren, Christy Patin, Danielle Woosley, Hannah Albright, Nathan and Kelley Albright, Paul Gilbert, Jr., Bridgette Kelly, Mike Tecco, Jr., Jeffrey Tecco, Kristina Gall, Jeanette Willacker, Johnathon Loyer, Kimberley Rutherford, Brian Tecco, Danny Tecco, Missy Kahl and Joe Wilt.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa; his father; and brother, Gene.

At his request a private family service will be held at a later date, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
