William Dean Holley, 79, of LafayetteTownship, Medina, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born July 20, 1933 in Pulaski, Tennessee, to Thurman and Mary Lucille Holley. William married Mamie (nee Branch) on August 30, 1952. He was employed for 28 years with Interstate Trucking System and six years with Yellow Freight as a Truck Driver. William served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid outdoorsman.
He will be missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Mamie; dear children, William Ray and Susanne Holley; precious grandchildren, Brittany Nichole, and Kaitlin Ann Dean; precious great grandchild, Brantley Scott Topovski; his sister, Doris Louise (Gene) Pickett; sister-in-law, Ester; and brother-in-law, Archie Heinzman.
Preceding him in death were his parents; siblings, Violet Whitt, Niles Holley, Cecil Carl Holley, and Betty Heinzman. Visitation will be held Monday, February 25, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at Carlson Funeral Home, 3477 Medina Road (Rt. 18 & River Styx Rd.) Medina. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at 11 A.M., also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery Rittman.
