Medina City school board looking for replacement

The Medina City school board is looking for a new member.

The board is accepting applications from district residents interested in filling the vacancy created by resignation of Dr. Robert Wilder.

Wilder resigned at the Feb. 19 board meeting.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, live in the Medina City school district and have been registered to vote for the past 30 days.

Those interested in an application should contact Noreen Parffumi at (330) 636-3010 or visit the board’s office, 140 W. Washington St., between 8 and
11 a.m. or noon and 3 p.m. Monday to Friday.

The application deadline is March 14. Board members will interview candidates on March 22 and 23. The person appointed will serve until December 31, 2013, and would then run for re-election to retain the seat.
