About our black-and-white newspapers today

We didn’t set out this morning to give some readers a throwback black-and-white front page in today’s newspaper, but a traffic mishap knocked out power around Elyria, where we print our papers. The resulting domino effect of outages also disabled part of our printing press — the part that handles color on the front page.

Scanner traffic indicated that power was being restored about 1 a.m. to most of the city, and our press people will be working today to get the color back on our front page for you tomorrow.
