WADSWORTH — Rachel Goddard continues to make history, as the Wadsworth senior point guard has accepted an invitation to play in the Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Game on April 13.
The showcase will be held at Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Ky. The boys game alumni includes current and former NBA players James Posey, Kevin Martin, Calvin Booth and Sam Clancy.
It marks the first time in Wadsworth coach Andrew Booth’s eight-year tenure that a Medina County player will compete in the game.
Goddard, a three-year letterwinner, was a Division I third-team All-Ohio selection this winter after leading the Grizzlies (25-3) to the No. 6 ranking in the Associated Press poll and a second consecutive appearance in the Norwalk D-I Regional championship game.
The Miami of Ohio recruit averaged 13.0 points, 3.1 assists and 2.2 steals. She also shot .527 from the floor and .761 from the free throw line.
