Daniel David Bonitz, 67, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, at his residence. He was born December 1, 1945 in Winber, Pennsylvania to Chester L. and Mary L. Bonitz.
Daniel graduated from Garfield Heights High School in 1965. He served with honor in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1965 to 1967. Throughout his life, he was primarily self-employed. He lived in Texas, Washington and Arizona. He lived his last 13 years in Ohio as the neighborhood barber on Warner Road in Cleveland and Broadview Road in Parma. He was always working to improve his homes and enjoyed remodeling and landscaping.
Daniel is survived by his sons, Daniel (Tamara) and Douglas; his mother, Mary; and brother, Richard (Joyce); grandchildren, Daniel III, Christine, and Brittney.
He was preceded in death by his former spouse, Dorothy; and father, Chester.
A memorial ceremony will be held Friday, March 22, 2013, at 3 P.M., in the Chapel at the Emeritus of Medina, 100 High Point Dr., Medina. Father Tom Stock will officiate.
