Linda Kay Blaich, 53, of Lodi, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Medina Village Retirement Community. She was born December 25, 1959 in Lodi, to George and Janet (Long) Filous and lived her childhood years in Valley City before moving to Chatham and later Lodi.
Linda was a 1978 graduate of Cloverleaf High School and had worked as a pre-school teacher for 35 years at the Lodi Pre-School (formerly Century of Love). She was a member of the Black River Church of the Brethren in Chatham.
Surviving are her husband Gary; sons, Gary Michael Blaich II of Lodi, Benjamin Joseph Blaich of Lodi, Jonathan Christopher Blaich of Lodi; father, George Filous of Chatham; sisters, Nancy McKenzie of Homerville, Barbara Filous of Rittman; brothers, Daniel Filous of Medina, George Filous, Jr. of Chatham, David (Michele) Filous of Lodi; nieces and nephews, Tracey, Justin, Stacey and Amanda.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet in 2004 and sister, Audrey.
Funeral service will be Monday, March 25, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the Black River Church of the Brethren, 10322 Old Mill Rd., Chatham. Pastor Mark Teal of Chatham will officiate. Burial will follow at Chatham Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 3 to 6 P.M. at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi.
