Earlena Pearl Clift

Earlena Pearl Clift (nee Carson), 76, of Brunswick, previously of Tennessee, entered into rest on Friday, March 22, 2013. She was born September 17, 1936 in Newport, Tennessee, to Charles Ailey and Bonnie (nee Lindsey).

Earlena enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved watching her grandkids playing sports and watching sports and old movies with her husband. She enjoyed watching birds outside her window, planting flowers in the summer, sitting in the sunshine and the colors of autumn, and also watching the snow falling in the winter.

She will be missed by her loving family, husband, James L.; son, James Jr. (Pamela); daughters, Tammy (Thomas) Murphy, Wendy (Richard) Hooley; son, Gary (Natalie); 17 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and brother, Ronald Carson.

Earlena was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bud Carson; and sister, Audrey Anderson.

Friends may join the family for visitation Monday, March 25, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (½ mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Funeral Service will be held at 7:30 P.M., with Pastor Powers, of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will also be held Wednesday, March 27, 2013, from 10 to 11 A.M., at the Manes Funeral Home, 363 E. Main St., Newport, Tennessee, with the fFneral Service following at 11 A.M. Earlena will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery in Newport, Tennessee.
