Jewel A. Miller, 67, of Brunswick, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 23, 2013, following a lengthy battle with Huntington’s Disease. She was born April 22, 1945 in Hazard Township, Kentucky, to the late Archie B. and Bessie (Hollins) Griffie.
Jewel was a bus driver for Brunswick City Schools for many years and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
She is survived by her loving children, Jeff (Donna) Miller of Brunswick and Brian (Shannon) Miller of Wadsworth; beloved grandchildren, Jacob, Jessie and Abigail; dear sisters, Maerene (Gene) Campbell of Brookpark and Thelma (Paul) Rohrbacher of Clyde; and her brother, Ray (Florence) Griffie, Jr.
Jewel was preceded in death by her sisters, Aita Hall and Geneva Caudill; brothers, Ellis and Arlie Griffie; and her grandson, Elijah Miller.
Funeral service will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church, 3480 Laurel Rd., Brunswick, OH 44212. Dr. Richard Powers will officiate, with burial at Eastlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
The family suggests contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church Building Fund at the address above.
