John Toben Fahey

John Toben Fahey, 86, of Brunswick, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 8, 1927 to the late Chauncey and Leona (nee Toben) Fahey in Cleveland.

John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force and was a World War II veteran. He was a long-time member of the Brunswick Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree; Past Grand Knight, Council 4847; Assembly of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree; Medina Hospital volunteer-Silver Express; Senior Advisory Board at the Brunswick Recreation Center; and a 13 year member of the Brunswick Entertainment Company. John was nominated twice for Knight of the year and was given the honor of being Senior of the year in Brunswick in 1999. He retired from Serv-A-Rack after 11 years as a Service Mechanic.

John is survived by his loving children, Jack (Noel) Fahey, Kevin Fahey and Barbara (Arthur) Varga; cherished grandchildren, Tiffany, Shannon, Shane, Cory and Nicholas; and treasured sisters-in-law, Joan and Rosemary Fahey.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Annabelle (nee Darcy) Fahey; and brothers, Chauncey and Robert Fahey.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick 44212. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 10 A.M. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd., Brunswick 44212. Inurnment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
