He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and the U.S. Air Force. He was a lifetime member of the Disable American Veterans. His hobbies included reading, listening to the radio (old time radio and music) and hiking. He especially liked spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Roger (Barbra) Coy, Scott Coy, Kathleen Coy; brother, Russell Coy of Bradford, Pennsylvania and sister, Dianne Thorpe of Stow; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Janet Baltz and Laura Jean Burdick.
A private celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at a later time.
Memorial contributions can be made in Jerry’s name to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV.org)
