Wadsworth Police offers free summer camp

WADSWORTH — The Wadsworth Police Department are sponsoring a free, week-long summer camp for children, ages 10 to 13.

The 2013 Wadsworth Safety Forces Summer Camp will be held at Wadsworth Middle School, 150 Silvercreek Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for five days from June 24 to June 28.

Camp activities will include demonstrations, games and lunch. Children will learn about police dogs, wild animals, crime scene investigation and fingerprinting. They will also hear about law enforcement, government and the effects of tobacco and alcohol.

Interested parents should turn in a registration form to police Sgt. Mike Ballway. Forms are available at www.wadsworth.com/police. Click on “2013 Safety Forces Summer Camp Application” under “Recent Updates.”
