Woman calls police over turkey near roadway

Why did the turkey cross the road?

A woman driving on Hanover Drive thought the police might know.

Just after 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, a Medina Police dispatcher reported over the radio that a woman had called and said that a turkey was walking alone down the street.

“She didn’t know that turkeys walk around, I guess,” the dispatcher said.

“She didn’t know who she should call about it.”

The dispatcher said calls about animals near roadways are fairly common.

“I told her it would probably go back into the woods, where its flock probably was,” the dispatcher said.
