Harry “Popeye” Lorent

Harry “Popeye” Lorent, 77, of Chippewa Lake, went to Heaven to play his harmonica for the Angels, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Hospice of Medina County surrounded by those that loved him. He was born May 18, 1935 in Fowler, Ohio, to the late Henry and Dorothy (Darnell) Lorent.

Harry, an employee of Windfall Industries since 2004 was an extraordinary worker with a love for staying busy and getting the job done. He will be remembered as a strong, energetic, cheerful man. He had a gift for making everyone around him smile.

He is survived by his brother, Edward (Mary Ann) Lorent of Greenville, Pennsylvania; long time friend, Caron and her family, his work family at Windfall Industries, his church family and his friend Jerry.

He loved bike riding, fishing, his harmonica and guitar, going to church, singing and dancing. He is very much loved and will be greatly missed. His heart, dedication and determination have been an inspiration to everyone who knew him.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 3 P.M. at River Styx Cemetery, across from River Styx Park. Waite & Son Funeral Home, Medina, is in charge of arrangements. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Brunswick at a later date.
