Browns linebacker Quentin Groves was arrested for solicitation April 17 in the east side suburb of Orange, according to the police report.
The Orange and Beachwood Police departments, along with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s office conducted a joint prostitution sting at a hotel.
Groves, 28, called and made arrangements for services. He was arrested without incident when he arrived. He was released from the scene and a May 10 court date was set for Bedford Court.
A box of condoms and $195.70 were taken as evidence.
Groves signed a two-year, $2.8 million free-agent contract with the Browns in March. His biography says he’s married with a son and daughter.
The arrest occurred in the middle of a three-day team minicamp, the first under coach Rob Chudzinski. Groves attended all three practices.
The Browns nor Groves’ agent, Sean Kiernan, immediately responded to a request for comment.
