Driver from Lodi seriously injured in crash

HARRISVILLE TWP. — An 86-year-old Lodi woman was seriously injured in a 6 a.m. crash on state Route 83 on Wednesday.

Sgt. Cliffton Dowell of the Medina post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said Esther Green was traveling south in a 1998 Mercury Mystique when her car went left of center near Kennard Road.

The car struck the side of a 2004 GMC driven by Jeremy Lampley, 22, of Dundee. Green’s car traveled off the left side of the road, hitting a ditch and rolling over, Dowell said.

Lampley had four passengers in his car. None of them were injured, Dowell said.

Green was taken to Lodi Community Hospital, and then transferred to Akron General, where she was listed in serious condition Wednesday night.
