Reports: Browns trade for Dolphins WR Davone Bess

BEREA – The Browns traded for Dolphins receiver Davone Bess, NFL Network reported. The Browns didn’t immediately confirm the report.

The compensation from the Browns wasn’t immediately known, but is believed to be a draft pick in the final four rounds Sunday.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Bess received a three-year contract extension with the Browns. He will likely have to pass a physical before the deal is finalized.

Bess (5-foot-10, 193 pounds) had 61 catches for 778 yards and a touchdown in 13 starts in 2012.

Bess, 27, would join Josh Gordon, Greg Little, David Nelson and Travis Benjamin among Cleveland’s wideouts.
