Etta Jean “Jeannie” Shelton Enos

Etta Jean “Jeannie” Shelton Enos, 62, entered in to the loving arms of our Father on Monday, April 29, 2013, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Marshall, North Carolina on September 18, 1950.

She graduated from Gibraltar High School in Michigan. Jeannie has resided in the Medina area for more than 40 years. For much of that time she was a single mother and made many sacrifices for her family, always loving and giving. Jeannie was employed with the Best Western in Medina for over 20 years and had worked at Joyce Insurance in Brunswick before retiring.

She served on the Board of Chapman Association for the last four years. Jeannie loved to travel with her husband, spend time with her grandson and loved to read and sit outside on her swing, enjoying the courtyard. Jeannie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and touched the lives of all who knew her.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 23 years, James; daughters, Kelly and Tracy LaSage; grandson, Brady James LaSage; brother, Thomas (Nancy) Shelton; and many relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mack Albert Shelton.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Maryann and Bruce Beckstrum and Marilynn Carter, who took such loving care of her during her time of need.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Her final resting place will be at Shelton Cemetery in Flagpond, Tennessee.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1690 W. Market St. Akron, OH 44133, or to the American Society on the Abuse of Children, 350 Poplar Avenue, Elmhurst, IL 60126.
