Jack Curtis Robinette, 84, of Medina, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 2, 2013 with his family at his side. He was born December 23, 1928 in Logan, Ohio, to the late Bert G. and Margaret F. (nee Robb) Robinette.
Jack worked for 36 years at Columbia Gas Transmission. He grew up in the EUB church and was a member of the Medina United Methodist Church for 35 years. He had a great passion for woodworking and was an avid reader.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Shirley J. (nee Brandon); loving children, Kristi Hamrick of Galion, Karen (Bob) Warner of Uniontown, Corinne Blackford of Hilliard, Tim (Jan) Robinette of Medina, and Jody (Randy) Toddy of Wadsworth; adoring grandchildren, Heather (Henry) Altshuler, Anna (Matt) Haynes, Matthew (Kristie) Toddy, Megan Toddy; cherished great grandchildren, Deanna, Alexis, Kassandra, Anthony, Alyssa, and Braydon; sister, Pauline Hartman of Logan; and 17 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Margaret Ruth; parents; and brother, Joe Robinette.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256. Funeral service for Jack will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, 1 P.M., at the Medina United Methodist Church, 4747 Foote Rd., Medina, OH 44256 with Dr. David Tenant and Susan Hume officiating. Private burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, OH.
