Loren A. Breyley

Loren A. Breyley, 82, of Lodi, passed away suddenly Sunday, May 12, 2013 at home. He was born June 1, 1930 in Elyria, to Bert and Alice Straub Breyley.

He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Lodi, former member of the Wadsworth VFW and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a volunteer driver for dialysis patients and enjoyed bowling.

After retiring from driving semi for Medina Farmers Exchange and Albrecht Trucking, Loren devoted his life to the loving care of this wife, Ruth. Daughters and grandchildren delighted in his attention and wisdom. He was always willing to help and put other people’s needs ahead of his own. He will be missed.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth (nee Smith), to whom he was married for 62 years; daughters, Rev. Loranell (Paul Livingston) Breyley, Cheryl (James) Cutler, Jan (Edward) Pittman; grandchildren, Clint (Mandi) Pittman, Kala Pittman, Niles and Bryce Cutler; great grandchildren, Kaden and Brooke; and a sister, Alberta Bradley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Pauline Wright.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 8080 Lafayette Rd., Lodi. Burial will be at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick. Pastor Christ Cahill will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi.
