He married the love of his life, Judith (nee Esson) on December 14, 1968. Walter was the manager of Detroit Auto Parts. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and race car driving. Walter was the world record holder for Formula F2 racing.
Walter loved to be with his family and will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 44 years; his children, Wendy Smith and Myriah (Larry) Survance; sisters, Darlene (Art) Boulton and Cynthia (Russ) Tapaszi; grandchildren, Kyle, Juliane, and Hannah; as well as many nieces, nephews and family friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Howard; and sister, Diana Rodano.
Friends may join the family for visitation Wednesday, May 15, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at Carlson Funeral Home, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile south of Rt. 303) Brunswick. Services will be Thursday, May 16, 2013, at 10 A.M., at the funeral home, followed by interment at Chatham Cemetery. (Please meet at the funeral home).
