He served in the U.S. Army and was a war veteran in the Korean War. He lived in Coshocton, before moving to Brunswick many years ago. Johnny was a lifelong member of the AMVETS, the Brunswick branch of The American Legion Post #234, and the Coshocton VFW Post #1330, serving as a member of the Order of the Cootie, Member of the Greater Cleveland Korean War Veterans, Chapter #69 and served as Chaplain. He was also a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Brunswick. Johnny also loved bowling and dancing with the ladies.
Friends may join the family for visitation Friday, May 17, 2013, from 8:30 until 9:30 A.M., at Carlson Funeral Home, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile south of Rt. 303), Brunswick. Interment will follow at 10:45 A.M., at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman. (Please meet at the cemetery).
