JoAnna Grof, 81, of Medina, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 in Medina. She was born May 17, 1932 in Wolfs Run, West Virginia, to Frank and Gladys (Scherick) Bolton.
JoAnna worked in International Samples for American Greetings for 11 years. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing and gardening. She was a longtime member of St. Colette’s in Brunswick, where she was very involved as a teacher of PSR for many years and a current member of St. Francis Xavier in Medina.
She is survived by her loving children, Joseph Grof (Melanie), William Grof and Laura Miller (Mike); dear grandchildren, Ashley Roth, Joseph Grof, Alaina, Michael and Paul Miller; great grandson, Titus Roth; sister-in-law, Barbara Devine (Joe); and four loving nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Sr. in 1983; infant son, Jimmy; parents; step father, John Thompson; and her loving aunts.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Waite and Son Funeral Homes, Brunswick Chapel, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 10 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina, OH 44256. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Church.
