Shirley Ann Javorsky, 76, of Medina, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born December 14, 1936 in North Royalton, to the late Robert and Elvetta (Ziegler) Caperton.
Shirley retired as a bus driver for the Medina Co. Board of Developmental Disabilities after 32 years of service. She was a charter member and 15 year treasurer of the Medina County Antique Power Association and a Special Olympics volunteer. Shirley enjoyed humming birds, flower gardens, camping, and was an avid reader. Her gift of love and humor was a powerful influence in each of our lives. She will be forever in our hearts.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Louis J. Javorsky; daughter, Cynthia (John) Caesar; sons, Ronald (Donna) and Andrew (Kathy) Javorsky; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Charlie and Dave Caperton; and her sister, Dorthy Mercier.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Homer, Robert and Terry; her sister, Lois; and her grandson, Douglas Weber.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Service will be Friday, May 24, 2013, at 10 A.M., at the funeral home. Dr. Brinca Hunter will officiate. Burial to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
