The family of Morgan Abigail “Abbey” Cover, formerly of Medina High School and 2013 graduating Senior at River View High School in Iaeger,West Virginia, are proud to announce that she has signed an NCAA National Letter of Intent to play volleyball for Concord University in Athens,West Virginia.

Abbey is an Outside Hitter who began her volleyball career at A. I. Root Middle School and her High School Career at Medina High School. In 2012 she transferred to River View High School where she enjoyed a very successful Senior year. Abbey’s honors this year included 1st Team All-Coalfield Conference, Special Honorable Mention Class AA All-State Volleyball Team and River View High School Volleyball MVP and Outstanding Hitter. She recently completed her 5th season of Junior Olympic Volleyball play.

In the Ohio Valley Region she played for Clubs Volleyfreak, out of Massillon and Quicksilver,first out of Hudson and then out of Strongsville. Abbey finished her J.O. career playing for Southwest Clash, out of Athens, West Virginia, in the Old Dominion Region. Abbey has been awarded a scholarship to play for the Division II, Concord University Mountain Lions under Coach Kate Southcott.

She is anxious to begin her college career at Concord University, where both her mother and great-grandfather studied and plans to major in Education. She aspires to teach High School Math and coach volleyball.
