Court log for week of June 10

The following people appeared in Medina County Common Pleas Court on Monday, according to county Prosecutor Dean Holman:

• Brandon Brentson, 25, West Union Street, Medina, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years in prison on one count of possession of cocaine, a second-degree felony.

• Michael Dufek, 32, Miner Drive, Brunswick, sentenced to five years of community control sanctions on one count of illegal manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony.

• William Newrones, 33, Elyria Road, Medina, sentenced to 18 months in prison on one count of failure to register, a fourth-degree felony.

• Timothy Calhoun, 32, Akron, pleaded not guilty to two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, fourth-degree felonies. A jury trial is scheduled for Aug. 19.

• Seth Cunningham, 21, Central Park Lane, Medina, pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony. The charge carries two firearm specifications. A jury trial is scheduled for Aug. 26.

• Joshua Fox, 36, South Danbury Circle, Medina, pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Aug. 28.

• Michael Huffman, 42, Greenwich Road, Seville, pleaded not guilty to two counts of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, third-degree felonies. A jury trial is scheduled for Aug. 5.

• Timothy Kaminski, 34, Grafton Road, Brunswick, pleaded not guilty to one count of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Aug. 21.

• Nicholas Lamson, 30, Willoughby, pleaded not guilty to one count of burglary, a third-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for July 22.

• Shelby Metek, 19, Lafayette Road, Medina, pleaded not guilty to one count of receiving stolen property (credit card), a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Sept. 9.

• Toni Moore, 29, West Liberty Street, Medina, pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs within the vicinity of a school or juvenile, a second-degree felony, and one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Aug. 5.

• Stephen Nevels, 23, Akron, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for July 22.

• Kyle Roberts, 22, Parma, pleaded no contest to two counts of theft of a firearm, third-degree felonies; two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, fourth-degree felonies; and one count of theft and three counts of breaking and entering, fifth-degree felonies. Sentencing is scheduled for July 22.

• Joseph Thomas, 28, Cleveland, pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape, first-degree felonies. A jury trial is schedule for Aug. 26.

• Stacy Zweifel, 22, Lake Road, Chippewa Lake, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for July 15.

The following people appeared in Medina County Common Pleas Court on Thursday:

• Blaise Festini, 27, West Smith Road, Medina, sentenced to three years of community control sanctions on two counts of theft of a check, fifth-degree felonies, and one count of theft, a first-degree misdemeanor. He also was ordered to pay $875 in restitution.

• Kyle McIntyre, 20, Cleveland, sentenced to 18 months in prison on one count of gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony. He also was labeled a Tier II sex offender.

• Steven Nicholas, 28, Princeton Drive, Brunswick, sentenced to three years of community control sanctions, with 180 days in jail, on one count of robbery, a second-degree felony.

• Ashley Wilson, 27, Plum Creek Drive, Wadsworth, sentenced to three years of community control sanctions on three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, third-degree felonies; one count of tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony; and one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Her driver’s license was suspended for six months.

• Christopher Bates, 27, Cleveland, pleaded not guilty to one count of trafficking in heroin, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Aug. 13.

• Todd Brown, 28, South Market Street, Lodi, pleaded not guilty to one count of receiving stolen property (check), a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Aug. 14.

• Isaac Buxton, 22, Lorain, pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fourth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for July 29.

• George Chuey, 33, State Road, Wadsworth, pleaded not guilty to one count of illegal cultivation of marijuana, a fourth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Aug. 13.

• Bradley Graber, 26, West Salem, pleaded no contest to one count of complicity to commit trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony, and one count of trafficking in drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for July 25.

• Joseph McCausland, 41, Rittman, pleaded no contest to one count of possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for July 25.

• Brenda Simpson, 58, South Pardee Street, Wadsworth, pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Aug. 12.

• Michael Thewes, 36, Pine Street, Wadsworth, pleaded not guilty to three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, third-degree felonies, and one count of trafficking in marijuana and one count of trafficking in drugs within the vicinity of a juvenile or school, fourth-degree felonies. A jury trial is scheduled for Aug. 12.
