Frank P. Fisher, Jr., 77, of Valley City, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born March 21, 1936 in Cleveland, to the late Frank, Sr. and Helen Fisher. He resided in Medina County since 1962.
Frank worked as an operating engineer for over 50 years, before retiring from Kassouf Construction. He was a member of St. Martin of Tours, Valley City. Frank enjoyed gardening and had a wonderful collection of model trains.
Frank had a talent that gave him the name of “Mr. Fix It”. There was not anything that Frank would not try to repair or restore back to usage.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, married 57 years; children, Linda (Rob) Ziemkiewicz, of Hilliard, Ohio and Frank III, of Niagara Falls, New York; and grandchildren, Eric, Bryan and Alex Ziemkiewicz.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Fisher; and sister, Genevieve Moenich.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Memorial Mass will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road, Valley City. Reverend Thomas Dunphy will officiate.
