Some Medina County employees were sent home early Monday after thunderstorms caused a power outage at the county courthouse and administration buildings.
The power went out about 1 p.m. Clerk of Courts David Wadsworth said employees were sent home after it was determined that power would be out for more than two hours.
The specific cause of the outage was not reported.
No flooding or other damage from the heavy rains were reported by either the county sheriff or local police departments.
