PHOTO: The six degrees of the Battle of Gettysburg

Cass Kuhl, of Medina, describes the history and importance of the Battle of Gettysburg to an audience of more than 40 on Monday evening at the Medina County District Library on Monday. In his lecture, “The Six Degrees of Gettysburg,” Kuhl argues that almost anything in American history since the Civil War can be linked to the climatic battle. The 150th anniversary of the battle is July 1. Kuhl, an electrical engineer with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, has been studying Gettysburg for more than 30 years and has visited the battleground two dozen times.
