Browns: Five scouts hired

BEREA — The Browns have hired five scouts, as general manager Michael Lombardi continues to remake the personnel department.

Frank Edgerly was named senior pro scout and Brent Blaylock, Brendan Donovan, Matthew Manocherian and Patrick Moore were added as college scouts, the team announced Wednesday.

Edgerly spent the last four seasons in the Patriots’ personnel department, one as a pro scout and three as an area scout. He was a high school head coach in New Jersey for 10 years.

Donovan was the University of Florida’s director of on-campus recruiting for football.

Moore has more than a decade of college coaching experience, the most recent as assistant head coach/offensive line coach in 2010-11 at Fordham.

Manocherian was a scouting assistant with the Saints the previous three years.

Blaylock joins the Browns from Penske Racing, where he worked in the public relations/marketing division. Prior to that, he was the assistant director of football operations at the University of Miami for three seasons.
