WADSWORTH — A city woman was arrested Thursday, accused of setting fire to her own home in the fall.
Jill Tucker, 58, of 168 S. Pardee St., was charged with aggravated arson, a first-degree felony punishable by up to 11 years in prison.
According to reports, Tucker lit her home on fire in the early morning of Oct. 13.
When Wadsworth Fire Department arrived, Tucker was the only person present at the house, which she owned.
It took firefighters from Wadsworth, Rittman, Seville-Guilford and Sharon Township five hours to put out the blaze.
An investigation into the fire revealed it was likely arson, police said.
A grand jury indicted Tucker on June 5.
Tucker is being held at the Medina County Jail on a $250,000 bond. She is scheduled to make a plea Monday before county Common Pleas Judge Christopher J. Collier.
