Michael Bruce Grondin

Michael Bruce Grondin, 52, passed away in his home Tuesday, June 25, 2013. He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on February 2, 1961, to Richard K. and Elizabeth J. Grondin of Medina.

He attended St. Francis Xavier School and was a 1979 graduate of Medina High. After graduating, Mike moved to Florida, where he worked for Amway as a steward on the yacht “Enterprise III”. Eventually he settled in Cornville, Arizona, as the owner/operator of Sedona Pool and Spa. Mike enjoyed his many friends, boating, camping, horticulture, martial arts and being outdoors. But his greatest love and enjoyment was his daughter, Mariah (mother, Sue Page of Idaho).

Preceded in death are his grandparents, numerous uncles, an aunt and a nephew.

Surviving are his daughter, Mariah Elizabeth Grondin; his parents; brothers, Dave of Cornville, Arizona, Phil of San Diego, California, Joe (Laura) of Medina; sisters, Beth (Tom) Haskins of Barberton, Eve (Julian) Janota of Sheffield Lake and Mary Bowman of Lodi; special friend, Patty Davis; along with numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Mike’s tenderness, sense of humor and good-natured character will be greatly missed by so many family members, as well as a large group of life-time friends.

Services will be held in Cornville, Arizona at Windmill Park (on Cornville Rd.), Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 10 A.M. Mike’s family will be holding a private memorial service. However, the 7 P.M. Mass at St. Francis Xavier will be offered for the intention of Michael Grondin, Friday, August 2, 2013.
