Medina Councilman Brian Hillberg said more than 200 hamburgers and 150 hot dogs were served at a block party, which he hopes will become an annual event.
The Corkscrew Saloon donated the burgers and dogs and and Hilberg’s Marie’s Cafe provided buns, condiments, ice and catering equipment. Sandridge Food Corp. chipped in with coleslaw and potato salad. Cupcake a Day as well as Medina Tobacco donated desserts. ABC Therapy made a donation to cover other costs. Discount Drug Mart provided bottled water and Medina Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center donated other beverages and providing parking.
