Mearl C. Kline, Sr.

Mearl C. Kline, Sr., 74, of Oberlin, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Community Health Partners in Lorain. He was born March 28, 1939 in North Ridgeville.

He was self employed working in recycling for many years, retiring in 2000. Mearl was married to his wife Kathryn for 56 years. He enjoyed camping, landscaping, bird watching, nature and was a hard worker in everything he did.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn E. Kline of Oberlin; daughters, Patricia E. (Harry) Fisher of Kipton and Kimberly A. (Mark) Baker of Wellington; sons, Mearl C. (Julia) Kline, Jr. of Oberlin, Dale R. (Samantha) Kline of Lorain and Brian L. (Jane) Kline of Amherst; 16 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Earl (Mary) Kline of Grafton; and sister, Eunice Reynolds of Wellington.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Kline; mother, Ruth Kline; son, Alan J. Kline; brother, Cecil Smith; and sister, Virginia Meyers.

Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Cowling Funeral Home in Oberlin. Graveside service will be Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11 A.M. at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
