Charles W. “Chuck” Flanigan, Jr.

Charles W. “Chuck” Flanigan, Jr., 70, passed away suddenly, Thursday, August 8, 2013. Chuck was born April 16, 1943 in Cleveland, to the late Charles W. and Marian (Rackov) Flanigan, Sr.

He was a land surveyor and a civil engineer. Chuck had a deep faith and will always be remembered for his gentle, kind spirit, unconditional love and encouragement for anyone he met. He was a member of the Norton Apostolic Christian Church, where he taught Bible class. He was a prayer warrior and devoted student of the Bible. Chuck served his country in the U.S. Army.

Chuck was the beloved husband of Pauline E. (Schlaefli), to whom he was married 44 years; loving father of Charles W. Flanigan, III, Jeffrey S. (Helena) Flanigan, Jeremy D. (Christal) Flanigan and Timothy A. Flanigan; devoted grandfather of Tyler, Makayla, Shannen, Jeffrey, Jr., and Sydney Flanigan; dear brother of Bryan (Sandy) Flanigan, Ronald (Cindy) Flanigan and Dale (Joyce) Flanigan.

Service will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at 9:30 A.M., at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Pastors Gary Webel and Jeremy Jivan will officiate. Military burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Family will receive friends Monday, August 12, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M., at the funeral home.
