Vehicular homicide trials delayed

MEDINA — Two jury trials in Medina County Common Pleas Judge Christopher J. Collier’s courtroom have been postponed.

• Mateo Ralios Delacruz, a 22-year-old Guatemalan immigrant, had his Monday trial delayed to Oct. 16. Ralios is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault and receiving a stolen vehicle as a result of a fatal crash on state Route 18 in June.

• Andrew Lester, 20, of Crab Orchard, W.Va., had his Tuesday trial moved to Sept. 30. Lester is charged with vehicular manslaughter, two counts of failure to stop after an accident, vehicular homicide, and receiving a stolen vehicle and license plates. He’s accused of causing injuries in a crash to a motorcyclist who later died.
