WADSWORTH — Motorists trying to get on Interstate 76 westbound will face detours this month.
The entrance ramps to I-76 from state Routes 261 and state Route 94 will be closed for five days each.
The state Route 261 westbound ramp is closed, starting today. The westbound ramp from state Route 94 is scheduled to close Sept. 16.
Detour signs will be posted by the prime contractor for the project, Shelly and Sands.
Ohio Department of Transportation’s District 3, in Ashland, is responsible for the $17.7 million project aimed at rebuilding Interstate 76 in Medina County.
Work began in summer 2012 on the eastbound lanes. This year, work began on the westbound lanes of I-76, between Route 57 and the Summit County line. For more information, go to the city of Wadsworth’s website, www.wadsworthcity.com. For traffic updates visit ODOT’s website, www.ohgo.com.
