Drunken driving checkpoint announced for this weekend

The Medina County OVI Task Force announced today that there will be a drunken driving checkpoint this weekend.

The exact location of the checkpoint will be revealed that morning.

The task force includes several law enforcement agencies from around the county and is funded by grants.

Law enforcement is required to announce checkpoints ahead of time to avoid violating Fourth Amendment search and seizure laws.

how do you figure? nif it saves one person’s life. it’s worth it. What if someone you loved was killed by a drunk driver? i bet you would be saying how you wish they were taken off the street before it happened.
