Mary graduated from Seville High School and Oberlin Business College. She retired from Westfield Companies and then went to work at Parker Hannifin in Wadsworth for 10 years, retiring at age 80. She was a lifetime member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Seville.
She belonged to the Red Cross and was a volunteer at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital. She loved antiques and tag sales, reading books and playing bridge. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her many friends.
She was an avid sports fan, following Ohio State, Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers, never missing a game.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jim. Surviving are her sons, Jeff (Kathy) and Kim Veverka; daughter, Jenny Veverka; grandsons, Mike (Erin), Eric, Doug, Darin (fiance Amber Hathoway); and great grandsons, Jacob and Larson; and brother, Bob (Beverly) Hewit of Seville.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., in Wadsworth and Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 10 to 11 A.M. at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9282 Acme Rd., in Seville, where Pastor Edward Kropa will conduct funeral service at 11 A.M. Burial will be at Acme Church Cemetery.
