Theodore Kowalski, 92, of Brunswick, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He grew up in Tidioute, Pennsylvania and he loved his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, gardening and vacationing in Hawaii. He served in the U.s. Navy during World War II. He worked as a Steamship Operator for the Great Lakes Steamship Company and later retired from Ford Motor Company where he worked as a Steam Engineer.
He will be missed by his beloved daughters, Clare (Thomas) Dunlay and Kay (Robert) Dangler; loving grandchildren, Thomas (Amy) Dunlay, Theodore (Laura) Dunlay, Lawrence Sauer, Elizabeth (Jamie) Kerns; great grandchildren, Sean, Grace, Macy, Megan, James Tilly and Jude.
Friends may join the family for visitation Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 11 A.M. to 12 Noon at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. A service will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made to the York Methodist Church, 6566 Norwalk Rd., Medina, OH 44256.
