June E. Ristau

June E. Ristau, 87, went home to her Lord on Monday, September 30, 2013.

Our loving mom and grandma has rejoined the love of her life, her dear deceased husband, Eddie. They had 62 wonderful years together and now, once again, are one.

June is survived by her loving children, Edward and Susan Ristau, Judith and David Scaife; also grieving are her beloved grandchildren, Edward (Jennifer), Robert (Valerie), Marissa (John) Karls, Timothy (Ginger) Scaife, and Dr. Thomas (Dr. Amber) Scaife. June was blessed with the births of her precious great grandchildren, Charlie Scaife, Chase and Bryce Karls, Bella and Bridget Scaife and little Edward Jacob Ristau, our family’s namesake, 5th generation, Edward J. June, is also survived by her dear sister, Gloria Toloskevich.

June and Eddie had years of love, laughter and friendship, and mom ached with loneliness after her Eddie passed away in 2011. They were inseparable. June and Eddie were active members of St. John Lutheran, Independence, Concordia Independence and more recently Bethany Lutheran. June and Eddie served their Lord working in the food pantry for many years at Immanuel Lutheran and also delivered Meals on Wheels. June’s first love was her family. Grandma and Grandpa doted on their grandchildren giving them the extra dose of love and sense of family values that only grandparents can do. Mom took great pride in being a loving wife, mom, grandma and homemaker. She truly loved making a wonderful home for all of us. June was a woman of strong Christian faith and personal integrity.

June was preceded in death by her devoted parents, John and Anna Toloskevich; and beloved sister, Irene Toloskevich.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 4, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at The Tomon & Sons Funeral Home, 7327 Pearl Rd. (S. of Bagley), Middleburg Hts. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10 A.M. at the funeral home, with burial following at Hope Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Immanuel Lutheran Food Pantry, 2928 Scranton Rd., Cleveland, OH 44113.
