Park Warren Vaughan, 85, of Homerville, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at Hospice of Medina County, after a long courageous battle with heart disease and diabetes. He was born March 22, 1928 in Toledo, to Charles and Aline (Park) Vaughan.
Mr. Vaughan proudly served his country with the U.S. Army in Germany and Korea. He attended Bowling Green State University and graduated from Northrup School of Aeronautics in California. He was employed by Eastern Airlines for 38 years in Detroit, Miami, Palm Beach, Syracuse, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and Cleveland.
Park was involved for many years with Boy Scouts and Booster Clubs where his kids were in sports. He loved his family with all his heart and loved summers at his cabin in Canada.
Park was a member of Harrisville Masonic Lodge in Lodi, he was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Michigan, and was Past Master of the Strongsville Masonic Lodge.
He married Patricia Brownlee in Toledo on May 18, 1957, she survives along with his daughter, Elizabeth Vaughan of Toledo; sons, Michael (Jeanne) Vaughan of Prosperity, Pennsylvania, William Vaughan of Homerville; grandchildren, Clay and Tristan of Homerville, Cole and Rebekah of Prosperity, Pennsylvania; siblings, Grace Vaughan of Florida, Gale Vaughan of Toledo; cousins, Nancy Carver and Jeanne Reisler; and many nieces and nephews.
At his request there will be no services.
