Kathleen “Kay” Westphal

Kathleen “Kay” Westphal, 67, of Wooster, formerly of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013. She was born to Marcus E. Huffman and Coletta (nee Faux) on February 12, 1946 in Cleveland.

She was a loving wife and mother, who will be missed by her adoring husband of almost 50 years, Norman; her sons, Craig (Miho – fiancee), both of Okinawa, Japan, Marcus E. of Brunswick; daughter, Kelly (Tim) Ruby of Wooster; sister, Barbara (Dan) Kilpatrick of Brookpark; grandchildren, Geoff (Jan), Holly, Jessica, Joey, Justin, Lea, Caitlin, Madison; and great-grandchildren, Easton and Anthony.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Bernice.

Kathleen was a member of the Red Hat Society, where she enjoyed monthly trips and meetings. She also enjoyed quilting, learning on her iPad and spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends may join the family for visitation Friday, October 11, 2013, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, 44212. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013, at 9:30 A.M., with a viewing at 8:30 A.M., at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Road, Cleveland.
