Man, 45, pleads guilty to child porn videos

MEDINA — A 45-year-old Wadsworth man pleaded guilty Thursday to having videos of child pornography on his computer last year.

Stephen Petrush, of 149 Wolf Ave., was convicted of seven counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, second-degree felonies punishable by up to eight years in prison each. Prosecutors agreed to drop three other counts in exchange for his guilty plea.

Medina County Assistant Prosecutor Matt Razavi said each of Petrush’s 10 original charges referred to a different video found on his computer in October 2012.
Common Pleas Judge James L. Kimbler scheduled Petrush for a Nov. 21 sentencing hearing.

At the hearing, Kimbler said he will label Petrush a Tier II sex offender, which will require him to register with his local sheriff’s office every six months for 25 years.
