Wadsworth police looking for suspicious driver

WADSWORTH — Police are looking for a newer model black sedan after the driver attempted to lure two young girls into the car Tuesday.

The incident occurred near Chestnut and Lyman streets as the girls were walking to school. The girls reported it to their parents and police came to one girl’s home to take a report around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The girls described the driver as a white male in his 20s with brown hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt.

The car was described as similar to a Honda Accord with silver or chrome trim around the windows and chrome or silver door handles.

They told police the man followed them slowly in his car until they ran to a neighbor’s house for help.

Police have asked residents and police in neighboring jurisdictions to look out for the man.
